Timothy Burtis – District 3
Tim and his wife, Chris, make their home in Brewerton along with their grown sons, Theo and Alex. Tim has been a resident of the Town of Cicero for more than 40 years and Central New York is his home.
Graduating from Twin Tiers Christian Academy in Horseheads, NY, and Onondaga Community College. He also attended Liberty University. Tim's education led him to a strong belief in character, integrity, and faith.
Tim's drive to serve his community is seen by his continuous dedication to the 3rd District (Cicero) since 2012. Previous to Tim being appointed to the Legislature in 2015, he served on the Town of Cicero Board as councilor and deputy supervisor. He continues to be focused on keeping taxes low through fiscally-responsible decisions.
In 2023, Legislator Burtis was selected to be Chairperson of the Legislature, a term he held for two years. Prior to that he served as Chair of the Ways & Means Committee, Health & Human Services Committee, and Planning & Economic Development committee.
