As our County Legislature reaches mid-year there is still much to be done for our residents. The County Facilities committee visited Carpenter’s Brook Fish Hatchery this month, and the Health & Human Services Committee toured the Hillbrook Detention Facility, learning about the nearly completed expansion and the new programs being offered to residents.

In April our Legislators took up some very important issues in committees, and are excited to take them to Legislative Session!

On behalf of our residents, we ask you to consider supporting a hybrid development by rebuilding the elevated portion of Interstate 81 through Syracuse in conjunction with the “community grid” option currently proposed by the New York State Department of Transportation to address all public safety and welfare concerns.

In the April Legislative Session, our Republican members took up important items that make an immediate difference for County residents. Most important of these was a resolution to rescind the residential energy tax that was temporarily applied in June of last year.
