Deb Cody was appointed to fill the vacated 5th district seat on the legislature in 2017 and represents parts of Salina, North Syracuse, Cicero, and DeWitt. 

Having spent years working closely in Constituent Service with the State Senate, Deb brings a wealth of knowledge to the Legislature.  Her focus on her constituents fuels her work as chair of the Ways & Means committee. Deb makes it her purpose to streamline county spending as much as possible. It is a constant goal of hers to find the balance between setting the lowest tax rate possible and maintaining the excellent services county residents depend on.

Deb is currently serving as Chairperson of the County Facilities committee and as a member of the Environmental Protection committee.
