David M. Carnie – District 5

David is a lifelong resident of Salina and is the proud father of two sons, David and Dominic.

David has served as the Town Councilor for Salina’s 4th Ward since 2020. He has helped reduce the Town of Salina tax rate by 22% and supported an increase to income limits to ensure more seniors, veterans and disabled residents receive greater tax breaks. David championed the Teall Avenue Renovation Project to install sidewalks and improve drainage, and has been involved in the development and construction of the Hoosock-Jensen Community Center.

David is a veteran, having proudly served his country in the United States Army. He’s a member of the Lyncourt Neighborhood Watch, a former Salt City Little League Coach and a longtime parishioner at St. Daniel Church. David has worked for more than a decade as a Real Estate Broker with a large, local brokerage firm.

David is committed to bringing his experience to the county level and working hard everyday for the people he represents as the 5th District Legislator.
